Custom Canine?ner and founder, Earl Dunn, is a certified trainer and behaviorist, Rutgers University graduate, responsible and trustworthy business owner, and an avid animal lover. Some of Earl? memberships and accomplishments include: AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, member of IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals), member of the BBB (Better Business Bureau), and Certified Foundation Dog Trainer. Earl has vast experience ranging from working with client?gs, shelter dogs, personal pets and much more. Earl broke into the dog training industry by undertaking several apprenticeships. These multiple apprenticeships provided him with a first hand perspective of the variety of training methods and professionals in the industry. Earl was able to analyze each method and extract the components which he felt were suitable and appropriate for his future training style. Then, Earl found Mike D?zzo at K9-1 Specialized Dog Training in Peekskill, NY. Mike served as Earl?ntor and immediately welcomed him into his apprenticeship program. Mike?ogram provided Earl with the final components to customize his methodology into the one he implements today. Mike D?zzo?oundation Dog Training System, is the program he developed and currently serves as the core influence to Custom Canine?thods today. After excelling in the apprenticeship it was not long before Mike offered Earl a fulltime position with K9-1 Specialized Dog Training. Shortly after, Earl became the head trainer at K9-1 working directly under Mike. Earl quickly began expanding the in-home training program of Custom Canine while still remaining a staple for the K9-1 in-kennel training program. Earl regularly attends relevant seminars to remain constantly involved and current with new developments within the academic canine world. Today, Earl and Mike remain teammates in their pursuit to help all struggling owners and pets attain better lives.
